|
|
While we're in the mood for changes, I figured I'd mention these...
There are 3 features I'd like to see implemented in services portal in the future. I know I've probably mentioned them before but just in case.
1. Proper HTTPS redirect
If I go to https://nexus.webmaster.com/services/ I should be redirected to https://nexus.webmaster.com/services/login.htm not the http URL.
2. Remove topiclock
Right now, one can set/change topiclock of a channel, but once set, it cannot be removed because the options are done with radio buttons and there's no option to disable.
3. PMREPTRACK
Under "Flood and Abuse Protection" it would be nice if there's a field to set PMREPTRACK too.
In addition, I see that the portal is being improved upon. Judging by what I can see, it seems that SOps would soon be able to use the portal to add and remove AKICKs I assume?
However right now, with that change in progress, managers of a channel no longer has the "manage" button. Hopefully that is fixed soon.
ABN, if you still read the forums, this workaround is for you
If you are the mgr of a channel and you want to manage a channel that you used to be able to via the portal, you type this URL straight into your URL bar:
https://nexus.webmaster.c.....p;rc_name=%23<chan>
Where:
* <nick> is your nickname
* <pass> is your password
* <chan> is the name of the channel you wish to manage without the # sign
Note any special characters will need to be encoded.
Cheers. |

nexus.webmaster.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The certificate is only valid for 109-0000-194.conferenceroom.net.

well i should mention , that akick commands should be developped , on reading them and removing
using the number of each akick on the list , and on removing them , like memo commands on reading and removing( remove one or more ,and specific once usin number , 1 , 1-12 , 2;5;6;8;13 ....etc

There's nothing wrong with using a self-signed certificate in this case. The services portal isn't a bank.
As for the AKICKs, I think that using a list of checkboxes is fine? imo, clicky-clicky is more intuitive than entering a series of numbers, unless you meant on IRC not on the portal? |

| There is no point in using a signed certificate for anything that's not related to e-commerce or other similar sensitive data. It doesn't mean the data isn't encrypted. |

I know I am replying extremely late.

Thanks Aeriana, I read it. I have used it a lot. Although. I hope they will add the button back in feature and not have to use all the <nick> <pass> <channel> inputs. Using all that work just to use services portal. In order as a Owner with another nickname or a user with MRG access.
But I recent posted this: http://forums.webmaster.com/viewtopic.php?t=40902&start=0 after log in and finding out that I wasn't able to use the SSL services portal.
Getting mixed up and understanding this. I guess it's no longer available to use https://nexus.webmaster.com/services/login.htm
